High School Youth Fellowship

Senior High Youth Group

Kelley Price, Advisor

The Senior High Youth Group consists of exciting, energetic, and extraordinary young people in grades 9 through 12 who are active in our church and in our community. The youth group has logged many miles walking for charities such as CROP Walk; toiled at Overlook Farm in Rutland, Massachusetts for Heifer Project International; ventured into the surf at Cape Henlopen State Park in Lewes, Delaware; worked at Mission Central in Mechanicsburg; spent an evening "Locked-In" the church; watched movies; partied at church; played games; eaten a lot of food, and so much more.

There will be many opportunities to grow in your faith and grow closer to your friends. Senior High is full of excitement, challenges, and new opportunities. Remember to bring Christ along for the ride!

Check the Senior Youth Fellowship bulletin board, the Messenger, or our weekly activity and devotional e-mail to discover what is planned for this year! Meetings will be held on Sundays right after church to fit in to the busy lives of Senior High Youth. Friends are always welcome!!

Upcoming Events:

GREAT OPPORTUNITY!

We are currently looking for people to help out in the "tech booth" on Sunday morning.  There are lighting, sound and A/V duties like PowerPoint operation, etc.  Steve Bollinger will train any and all individuals who are interested.  You guys know this stuff way better than your parents and grandparents (the age of most of the people who are doing it now.)  If you're interested, fire an email to Pastor Ron.

After Christmas Party for Senior High Youth AND College Students!

Sunday, January 4, 2009

ATTENTION CALVARY COOKS!

In order to help fund Youth Fellowship Events and our biennial Beach Retreat,  the Senior High and Middle School Youth Fellowship are going to publish a Cookbook using Morris Press Cookbooks.

In order to make this a success, we need your recipes!   There are 2 ways to submit recipes.  First, at the YF Table in the Square is a Recipe Collection Sheet to take, complete and return. The second way (which is very easy), is to submit online.  Click here for the instructions for online submissions. All recipes must be submitted by February 5.

At the Youth Fellowship Table, there is a sheet to sign up to reserve a Cookbook.  The Cookbooks will arrive mid-April (just in time for Mother's Day-hint, hint) and will cost between $8-10 depending on the number of recipes submitted.    Please show your support of our youth by sharing your favorite recipes with the Calvary UMC Family!   If you have questions, please contact:  Teri Mathias, Kelley Price, Kim DeFalco, or Joanne Reber.
