 Priscilla
Circle is the women's group of Calvary Church that usually
meets the 3rd Friday of the month, except June, July and
August. Our meetings are typically 9:30 - 11:00 AM.
We meet to share in
Christian fellowship and friendship. Members enjoy working
on church projects that help our other church committees as
well as the church as a whole. In the past, Circle has
raised funds to help purchase new flatware to be used at
funerals, weddings, etc., purchased material and help sew
new children's choir gowns and wigs/costumes for our annual
Maundy Thursday program. Circle members also plan day trips
outside of the church. We have visited the Doll House
Museum, the Country Apple House and the Ronald McDonald
House in Hershey.
We would like to thank the
congregation for the continued support by purchasing food
and donating items to us for the annual church May Flea
Market sponsored by Calvary's youth. Since this is our main
fundraiser for the year, we have been able to support the
scouts by purchasing "God and Country" awards, support
members of our church who go on mission trips, a donation to
the Haiti Relief Fund, and a donation to our youth
campership fund.
Our annual even which is
best attended is our September Tea Party. There is always
delicious food and fellowship. Just some of our list of past
guest speakers to this event are: Judy Smitley, Becky
Hearsey, Betsy Ross, Bonnie Shindler, and most recently,
Mary Klaus of the Patriot-News.
