VOLUNTEERS IN MISSION (VIM) Volunteers in Mission, or VIM, coordinates a variety of mission opportunities for volunteers to serve God.  VIM work has become a way of life for many who find deep spiritual growth through serving the Lord and meeting new friends in Christ.  These trips will be led by Calvary's Pastor Jeff Fisher. Participant's fees for all mission experiences should be paid by check made payable to Calvary UMC.  Please be sure to note which mission project on the memo line. VIM EVENTS: There will be a mission trip June 18-26, 2011 to the Four Corners Navajo Indian Mission in Shiprock, New Mexico. The cost for this trip is $1,175 (payable in installments.) Registrations are past due, so please contact Pastor Jeff to see if there are any openings for this trip. Please complete the Shiprock Team Member Application and submit with payments that are currently due if you've cleared your participation with Pastor Jeff.   July 24-29, 2011 VIM is sponsoring a work trip to the Onondaga Indian Reservation near Syracuse, NY where volunteers will do home repairs for needy residents.  The cost is $200, payable in installments. To register please complete Onondaga Team Member Application and submit with payments that are currently due. Registrations are currently past due, but contact Pastor Jeff as there may still be room.   July 10-15, 2011 the Harrisburg District Workcamp will be held.  This year we will be serving in the northern region of our district known as the Williams Valley and Lykens Valleyl. Volunteers may commute to our work or may stay lodge at the Christ UMC in Tower City. The registration deadline is June 6. To register please complete the Harrisburg District Workcamp Application and submit with your registrations fees. Fee range from $5 to $75 depending on how many days you can participate and whether you need lodging.   Please contact Pastor Jeff for information on either of these mission service opportunities.
